My passion for photography can occasionally lead me to some strange places. Such that it was that I found myself on the Bund in Shanghai…at 5am on a Saturday morning, trying to capture the sun rising behind the Lujiazui skyline.

Quick tip - at time of the morning, the people around are either a) crazy photographers like myself, or b) drunk people still out from the night before. When you are trying to take pictures, a) & b) don’t mix very well! I eventually pretty much got the shots that I wanted, and then retired to Starbucks the minute it opened at 7am. There were more drunk people there also…
